Childhood Illnesses

So, when do these chronic fevers in the timesink stop?  He's been sick with high fevers three times in the past six weeks.  Does it ever stop?  Ugh.

Even Longer Time Away

Looks like it's been more than two years since I last updated.  Of course, that's a ton of time so I'm not even going to try to fill in the blanks.  But the second sibling now has significantly more than four teeth and the little timesink himself is pushing the ripe old age of 5.6.

The garden has almost completely withered but the family thrives.  And that's it in a nutshell.

Longish Time Away

The littlest timesink, age 1.2,  has finally started walking but she still won't grow more than four teeth.  It's amusing watching her push food to the front of her mouth to chew better.  I'm sure it's tiresome gumming everything all the time.

The garden continues going along.  I'm trying out tomatoes in pots this year (along with the usual assortment in the ground) so we'll see if I have any luck.  One tiny watermelon plant decided to flower but I know it won't amount to anything; way too early to set fruit since the whole plant is about as big as a salad plate.  Everything else is in the wait and see stage (okra, cucumbers, peppers, corn, squash, zucchini, cantaloupe) so all I can do is water and wait.

Sleeping In

Timesink 2.12 actually slept until 8 am this morning. Naturally, I had to get up at 5:30 so I missed out on all the fun. Mark your calendars, he won't sleep this late again until he's a teenager.

Lessons Learned

According to a 2.10 year old timesink all waffles and Pop Tarts are equivalent to vegetables.

Every animal needs to "smell hand" whether it's a cat, dog, or mocking bird.

Tricycles are only fun as long as you don't have to peddle for yourself.

Momma's "special juice" is not grape juice.

Dada's beer is an unknown, curious substince that requires vigorous shaking.

I'm sure there are more that will come to me soon. Nice to know we can finally communicate with our little timesink. Now if his sibling would jump ahead about a year....

WTF?

Seriously? It's not like this unusual either so why am I surprised? Sigh...
